vienna boylesque festival

The wonderful world of boylesque has become increasingly popular in recent years and naturally, a Boylesque Festival or two have cropped up to showcase talent from all over the world, proving that the boys are just as talented as the girls when it comes to the art of the tease.

Merry Christmas from male cabaret show Boylexe

Boylexe_Legs_Instagram_Other

A huge thank you to everyone who’s made male cabaret show Boylexe such a huge success this year! A big ol’ MERRY CHRISTMAS from us all.

Our fourth year in production, we’ve (hopefully) pushed more boundaries, shown more flesh and dumped more on Bobby Dee’vah than ever before.

This year, we bade farewell to the Shadow Lounge, took a walk on the wild side with a series of Shadow Masochism pop-ups, hooked up with our sister burlesque show Burlexe for the very first time for This Is Burlexe at the Hospital Club, popped up in Balans, ran a series of private shows and are ending the year with a hello to Cecil’s in London Bridge (come check us out on New Year’s Eve!).

It’s also been great working with new additions to the troupe including Baby Lame, Phoenix, Pi the Mime, Ruby Wednesday and Throberto and Shadow Masochism stars Tom Harlow, Alfie Ordinary, Ted Rogers, Ricky, Edgar and Andrei as well as old friends like Esquire DeLune, the Mighty Moustache and Maria Hurtz.

Here are a few of our favourite moments from the past year but please feel free to tell us yours via our Facebook or Twitter pages…

Jeyjon Guests at Boylexe on 26th September

On 26th September for our final show in the current run, we’re thrilled to welcome a new guest outside of the world of boylesque and cabaret to Boylexe…

Ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands together for Jeyjon.

Jeyjon

Jeyjon

Working with Dead or Alive in the 90s, he’s subsequently evolved as an electro-dance performer who’s fused his sound with the guilty pleasures of 70s soul and disco to create a fiercely modern sound.

Check out his new video for Let’s Fantasize below, which comes from the album Augmented Disco which he’s chosen to launch at Boylexe at the Shadow Lounge.

He may (or may not) be taking his clothes off but Jeyjon certainly reflects what we’re about as artists and performers. We can’t wait to welcome him into the Boylexe family.

For further information, please visit the official Jeyjon website.
