Merry Christmas from male cabaret show Boylexe

A huge thank you to everyone who’s made male cabaret show Boylexe such a huge success this year! A big ol’ MERRY CHRISTMAS from us all.

Our fourth year in production, we’ve (hopefully) pushed more boundaries, shown more flesh and dumped more on Bobby Dee’vah than ever before.

This year, we bade farewell to the Shadow Lounge, took a walk on the wild side with a series of Shadow Masochism pop-ups, hooked up with our sister burlesque show Burlexe for the very first time for This Is Burlexe at the Hospital Club, popped up in Balans, ran a series of private shows and are ending the year with a hello to Cecil’s in London Bridge (come check us out on New Year’s Eve!).

It’s also been great working with new additions to the troupe including Baby Lame, Phoenix, Pi the Mime, Ruby Wednesday and Throberto and Shadow Masochism stars Tom Harlow, Alfie Ordinary, Ted Rogers, Ricky, Edgar and Andrei as well as old friends like Esquire DeLune, the Mighty Moustache and Maria Hurtz.

Here are a few of our favourite moments from the past year but please feel free to tell us yours via our Facebook or Twitter pages…

New Year’s Eve Cabaret Show This Is Burlexe

We’re very proud to be presenting the New Year’s Eve Cabaret Show This Is Burlexe at our favourite new venue, Cecil’s.

This Is Burlexe is a combination of our sister burlesque show Burlexe and male burlesque show Boylexe and takes our audience on a loose romp through the history of burlesque with stories, song, burlesque, quizzes, fun, games, DJs and dancing.

From Boylexe comes our host with the most Alp Haydar and our boylesquer par excellence, Mr Phil InGud and from Burlexe comes burlesque heroine Miss Glory Pearl, ingenue Emma Fisher and showgirl on the up and up, Ms Felicity Furore.

The doors open at 9pm and the first part of the show starts at approximately 9.30pm.

Cecil’s is at 8 Holyrood Street, London SE1 2EL and the nearest tube station is London Bridge.

Cecil’s is located in the back alleys of London Bridge and known for its array of house cocktails, featuring the herbs and spices of the Orient. We encourage everyone to dress to the nines to embrace the eras of extravagance that the club aims to echo, including the nightlife of 1930’s Shanghai.

We can’t wait to see you!!

Boylexe for Shadow Masochism

Male striptease and boylesque show Boylexe took a step over into the dark side Spring – Autumn 2015 when we shook our booties in a whole new way for Shadow Masochism at The Shadow Lounge.

Our artists performed a series of extravagant club pop-ups which showcased a brand new side to our work – there’s a clue in the title.

- Meth
- Randolph Hott
- The Mighty Moustache
- Bobby Dee’vah

And this week, we’re proud to pop the Boylexe cherry of Esquire De Lune who’ll be boylesquing for us for the very first time.

Annnnnndddddd, if that wasn’t enough, Phil InGud has been nominated to do the #IceBucketChallenge by one of our regulars, James, aka @fitgeek_uk so we’ll be…

a) watching Phil do the challenge live on stage

b) supporting further with money raised by this week’s raffle donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association too.

Tickets for the show cost £15 (or £25 for show and club entry) and it is an 18+ show.

Boylexe is aimed at thinking women and gay men who want a raucous, fun Friday night out but with a dash of brains, balls and sexiness.

Doors open at 7pm, show at 730pm and takes place at the Shadow Lounge, 5 Brewer Street, London W1F 0RF (nearest tubes are Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Circus and Leicester Square).

Updated Post-Event

And this is exactly what happened with Phil’s Ice Bucket Challenge.
